Abstract


Infectious diseases are major complication following tooth extraction. Most infectious diseases can be treated relatively simply with proper treatment. However, infectious diseases that have not been diagnosed early can cause life-threatening complications. The purpose of this review is to introduce typical infectious diseases following tooth extraction and to provide with background knowledge for early diagnosis and appropriate treatment for clinicians.
